How It Works

  1. Upload a PNG or JPG that contains readable text.
  2. Pick the text language and the font for the new text layers, then click "Detect Text".
  3. Review every detected line — fix misread words, delete false detections.
  4. Click "Generate Editable PSD". Each line becomes a genuine Photoshop type layer positioned where the text was; the original text is covered on the background layer.
  5. Download the .psd and open it in Photoshop or Photopea — every text layer is selectable and editable.

Honest Limitations

  • Fonts won't match the original. A flat image contains no font data — you choose the closest font, and can change it in Photoshop later.
  • Proofread everything. AI text detection misreads words, especially small or stylized text. The review step exists for exactly this reason.
  • Simple backgrounds work best. The original text is covered with sampled background color — perfect on solid colors, approximate on busy photos.
  • These are AI-reconstructed layers, not the designer's original project file. Say so if you hand the file to a client.
